The purpose of the Foresta Preservation Association is the preservation of the township of Foresta. It’s that simple.

We interface with the NPS, the County of Mariposa, and any other organization that may be of benefit to our community. Because of the lawsuit settled after the 1990 fire, the NPS recognizes FPA as the entity involving all things Foresta. That being said we are also vigilant and ready to reenter the legal arena to protect our community. Because we maintain this vigilance, we must be financially prepared to protect the rights of Foresta. This is why we ask you and any friend of Foresta to join our organization as a dues paying member.

We are not a property ownership association, we invite and encourage anyone with a love of Foresta to enjoy the benefits of membership in FPA. Those benefits include, besides the maintenance of an emergency fund:

• Emergency liaison with NPS and other services when warranted (e.g., during fires)

• A Newsletter

• A social media presence with community updates (FPA on facebook, foresta_open_forum@foresta.org)

• Archives with historical documents and pictures as well as contemporary photographs (www.foresta.org, album2.foresta.org)

• A personal @foresta.org email address

• Daily news updates from NPS and other sources

• An open invitation to 2 annual picnics

The board members of FPA work with you to maintain & improve Foresta as a viable community.
